Chelsey Leffet, an HVS Vice President and a leader in our Washington, D.C. office, is fascinated with the inner workings of the hospitality trade. She has appraised hundreds of hotels in the Mid-Atlantic, including in major Beltway markets such as Alexandria, Arlington, and Bethesda. Chelsey is a certified general appraiser in the District and surrounding states. Her skills plug into a network of fellow HVS appraisal experts, approaches, and infrastructure to generate the most authoritative, comprehensive advice about your hotel.
Before joining HVS, Chelsey served in guest services, operations, and restaurant roles at ARAMARK Higher Education; Lighthouse Resort Services in Corolla, North Carolina; the Columbus Inn in Wilmington, Delaware; and the Bellmoor Inn and Spa in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. With HVS, she has published articles on the dynamics of the most prominent Mid-Atlantic hotel markets, including Baltimore, Philadelphia, Annapolis, and Washington, D.C. Chelsey graduated magna cum laude with a BS in Hospitality Management, minoring in Business Administration, from East Carolina University. She earned a Master’s in Business Administration from East Carolina University in 2015.
Chelsey recently took up residence in the NoMa neighborhood of D.C., near Gallaudet University and historic Union Station. She began playing golf while working on North Carolina’s Outer Banks and still takes to the links when weather permits. She also plays a respectable game of tennis, likes to run, and loves to visit the beaches of southern Delaware, which are to her another home.
