Consulting Experience

A Director with the HVS Colorado office, Katy Black is an expert in the lodging markets of the mountain region, particularly in Montana and Wyoming, as well as Orange County, California. She has worked throughout this region of Southern California, from Dana Point to Anaheim and most submarkets in between. Katy began her hospitality career in Akron, Ohio, at the Crowne Plaza Quaker Square. She completed management training at the Courtyard by Marriott at The University of Delaware and went on to hold management roles in Front Office and Corporate Sales at the DoubleTree by Hilton and Hilton Akron/Fairlawn. Katy graduated from The University of Delaware with an honors degree in Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Management. She earned an MS in Accounting from the University of Akron.
