Mandeep S. Lamba, President & CEO (South Asia), leads the global hospitality practice for HVS in India and South Asia. With an illustrious career spanning over 35 years in the hospitality sector, he has held CEO positions for more than two decades. Mandeep started his journey in hotel operations, working his way to become one of the youngest General Managers in the country, with leading international hotel companies such as IHG and Radisson, before becoming the President of ITC Fortune Hotels.
He then moved to quasi-entrepreneurial roles, setting up joint venture companies with Dawnay Day Group, UK, and subsequently with Onyx Hospitality, Thailand (Amari Hotels), to own and operate hotels in India. Mandeep’s commitment to comprehensive hospitality solutions and his ability to bridge gaps and create opportunities across continents was evident with these ventures and showcased his capacity to forge global alliances, ensuring a seamless integration of cultures, business strategies, and operational efficiencies.
In 2014, he joined JLL Hotels & Hospitality Group, the hospitality consulting arm of the Fortune 200 company Jones Lang LaSalle as Managing Director – South Asia. Post that in 2018, he joined HVS, the only global consulting firm focused exclusively on the hospitality sector, as President for the HVS ANAROCK joint venture.
Recognized as an established industry leader, Mandeep has received several awards and recognitions both in India and internationally for his significant contributions to the hospitality sector. As a distinguished thought leader, his insights and views on the sector are frequently sought by television and print media.
