As a Consulting & Valuation Associate at HVS, Michelle Li plays an active role in gathering and analyzing market data, which form the foundation of our work, by conducting extensive fieldwork, visiting hotels, speaking with local stakeholders, and studying market dynamics. Michelle helps build feasibility and market studies, as well as valuation and consulting deliverables, that support hotel owners, developers, lenders, and investors in understanding opportunities, assessing risks, and making confident decisions in a fast-moving hospitality landscape. Backed by HVS’s global expertise and rigorous methodology, Michelle ensures that every project reflects our commitment to precision, integrity, and client success.

Before joining HVS, she worked in the field of hospitality research and analytics at Lodging Analytics Research & Consulting (LARC). Michelle's time at LARC included conducting market research across 62 U.S. hotel markets, performing regression analysis on drivers of hotel performance, and co-authoring an article on the North American impact of the 2026 World Cup published in HOTELS magazine. She holds a Master of Management in Hospitality from Cornell University's Nolan School of Hotel Administration and a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University. She has prior experience in the hospitality and food and beverage sector.
