28 April 2023, London: HVS Hodges Ward Elliott (HVSHWE) has announced that Tim Barbrook has joined as head of Debt Advisory, launching the firm’s hotel & leisure debt advisory capabilities across the UK and Europe.
The division will provide clients with access to the most efficient capital, advise on structure and provide transaction execution support.
Tim joins HVSHWE from Crosslane Fund Managers where he was head of Debt Finance focussed on sourcing, executing and monitoring debt finance across a variety of real estate asset classes. Prior to this, he was an executive director at Wimmer Financial and a corporate banking manager at Lloyds Banking Group.
Charles Human, president of HVS Europe, commented: “Increasingly, our clients have approached us regarding debt and funding advice and, with such a range of funding sources and structures available, it makes sense to offer independent advice in a more formal way. With his wealth of experience and knowledge, Tim is the perfect appointment to lead this new division."
Tim Barbrook, head of Debt Advisory, HVSHWE said: “I am hugely excited to be joining one of the world’s leading global hospitality brands at a time that debt capital markets are undergoing their most significant repricing for more than a decade. HVS works with a fantastic range of international investors and I look forward to broadening the offering and delivering exceptional results for our clients."
