The property, rebuilt in 2020, was purchased by Unity Energy LLC, based in Carlsbad, New Mexico, from Blue Ash Realty Group LLC, based in Spring, Texas.
Strategically positioned along Hobbs Highway/U.S. Highway 62, the property benefits from its proximity to the city of Hobbs and Lea County. This southeastern New Mexico region is ranked first in oil production nationally because of the underlying Permian Basin. The area is a hub for major energy companies, including Halliburton and Patterson-UTI Drilling Co., and is also supported by local educational institutions and medical facilities, which generate a steady stream of demand.
Nestled within Carlsbad's Downtown district, the Post Time Inn boasts prime visibility along Canal Street, the city’s main thoroughfare. This central location offers guests easy access to a variety of dining, shopping, and cultural attractions. Moreover, Carlsbad is located near Carlsbad Caverns National Park, which welcomed approximately 394,000 visitors in 2023, according to the National Parks Service.
