In Focus: The Hotel Industry of the Florida Panhandle

With hotel performance improving, supply in check, and tourism and commercial demand on the rise, hoteliers should pay close attention to possibilities in the Florida Panhandle.
Kristin Rinaudo is a Director with the HVS Atlanta office. Kristin’s hospitality-industry experience extends to hotel market and feasibility studies, appraisals, valuations, destination studies, and various other consulting engagements. She has a range of geographical experience, with primary focus on Florida and the Caribbean, and has recently worked on proposed hotels in the U.S. Virgin Islands, St. Kitts and Nevis, and Belize. Kristin graduated Florida State University (FSU) with dual degrees in Psychology (magna cum laude) and Real Estate. John Lancet, MAI is a Senior Managing Director of HVS Miami. Over the past 20 years that John has been with HVS, he has appraised and/or consulted on more than 1,000 hotels, resorts, vacation ownership, and mixed-use developments located in 22 states and 26 countries. Prior to joining HVS, John obtained his operating experience from several hotels located in South Florida and also worked as a regional manager for a major timeshare company. A graduate of Florida International University’s School of Hospitality Management, John is a certified general real estate appraiser in Florida (RZ 2554) and holds an MAI membership designation with the Appraisal Institute.
