Lothbury Investment Management acquires Travelodge London Central Southwark for £56.3M 

Lothbury Investment Management, on behalf of an institutional client, has acquired the 202-room Travelodge London Central Southwark for £56.3 million (£279,000 per room).  The property, located next to Southwark Underground station and close to the South Bank of the River Thames, is part of Lothbury’s mandate to acquire prime city centre assets for a major UK pension fund and is subject to a 30-year RPI-indexed lease agreement with Travelodge.

Tristan Capital Partners acquires two hotel developments in Amsterdam from DW Partners and Whitewood Capital 

The London-based property manager Tristan Capital Partners has acquired two mixed-use hotel and office properties in Amsterdam’s Orlyplein and Lelylaan districts from a joint venture between DW Partners and Whitewood Capital.  The properties, which are converted from offices, now collectively comprise 351 rooms and some additional remaining office space, with the hotels being operated under long-term lease agreements. 

Michael Hotels Acquires H+ Hotel in Magdeburg, Germany 

The German asset manager Michels Hotels has acquired the 243-room H+ Hotel in Magdeburg, Germany from the local operator H-Hotels.  Magdeburg is a growing secondary city of 200,000 inhabitants, situated in the north-east of Germany between Hanover and Berlin.  The property will be owner-operated, and rebranded under the “Michel Hotels” brand.
