Arsenale Spa to acquire Grand Hotel de La Minerve in Rome from Billi Family 

Italian property investor Arsenale Spa has signed a preliminary agreement to acquire the 132-room Grand Hotel de La Minerve in Rome from the Billi family for an undisclosed price.  The iconic 5-star hotel is a repurposed mansion from the 1600s, and is located directly opposite the Pantheon in the heart of the historic city centre.  It features a rooftop garden overlooking the Pantheon and numerous statues by Rinaldo Rinaldi.  The hotel will continue to be operated by the Billi family before commencing a 20-month renovation in 2022, after which it will reopen under Accor’s Orient Express brand.

Lionel Messi acquires Casa Canut in Andorra 

Lionel Messi has acquired the 31-room Casa Canut from its founding family in Les Escaldes, Andorra for an undisclosed price.  The 5-star hotel is located on Avenida Carlemany, one of Andorra’s main highstreets, and is one of the most iconic hotels in the country.  The property was purchased through MiM Hotels, a luxury owner and operator that is a joint venture between the Barcelona footballer and the Majestic Hotel Group.  Together, the group now has five hotels, with locations in Sitges, Ibiza, Mallorca and Baqueira.

VW Landesarztekammer Hessen acquires Future Living Hotel in Leipzig 

German institutional investor VW Landesarztekammer Hessen has acquired the 224-room Future Living Hotel in Leipzig, Germany from German developer Fay Projects GmbH for an undisclosed price.  Construction on the co-living hotel, located near Leipzig Central Station, started in 2019.  The hotel has a 25-year operating agreement with The Quarters Group.
 

Atream acquires Le Domaine de Mousquety in France from Belambra 

French private equity firm Atream has acquired the 140-room Le Domaine de Mousquety in L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, in Provence in the south of France from French hospitality firm Belambra for a reported price of  €15,600,000 (€111,000 per room).  The property’s location is a 25 minute drive from Avignon-Provence Airport.  The hotel, which sits on 22 hectares of parklands, was bought for renovation purposes, and the acquisition was carried out on behalf of SCPI Atream Hotels.  The renovation will upscale the hotel, allowing it to join the “Belambra Clubs Sélection.”

Atream acquires NEMEA aparthotel in Paris from the NEMEA Group 

Atream has also acquired the 42-room NEMEA aparthotel in Paris from the NEMEA Group, which manages 70 properties around France.  The acquisition is accompanied by a long lease and was carried out on behalf of SCPI Atream Hotels.  The hotel is located in Levallois-Perret near metro line three in Paris’s 17th arrondissement and features a furnished rooftop and a sauna.
