US-based Hyatt Hotels Corporation has debuted its luxury lifestyle brand, Andaz, in Southeast Asia with the opening of Andaz Singapore. Located at the heart of the cultural crossroads in Bugis, a five-minute drive from the Central Business District, Andaz Singapore draws on elements from shophouses and alleyways in the Kampong Glam neighborhood. Housed in the new Duo Complex, a mixed-use development that comprises residences, retail spaces and offices, the 342-key hotel includes 26 suites offering spectacular views of the city. The hotel also features 14,800 square feet of meeting space, an outdoor pool, a fitness center and four F&B outlets, including a rooftop bar. Andaz Singapore is only the second Hyatt-branded hotel in Singapore, after the Grand Hyatt Singapore opened its doors in 1971.

Two Roads Hospitality Asia Introduces New Brand – Jaya Hotels & Residences

Two Roads Hospitality Asia has announced a new luxury brand – Jaya Hotels & Residences. With the first sign of speculations regarding Jaya Hotels & Residences originating nearly five years ago, the brand is finally set for realization as a new addition to Two Roads Hospitality’s plethora of hotel brands. A brainchild of the late interior designer, Jaya Ibrahim, and a group of industry visionaries, the brand is inspired by Jaya's unique design vision, offering a discretely luxurious lifestyle and engaging service expectations. Jaya Ibrahim’s sudden passing in May 2015 temporarily halted the project. The team later found a partner in Two Roads Hospitality – an Asian-American Group operating nearly 100 properties worldwide – and the two went on to develop the brand and put forth a design-cum-management luxury model. Several projects in the Asia Pacific region are expected to be announced soon. One development already made public is that of The Jaya Lombok, slated for completion in 2020. Located on Lombok’s southeast coast, the new build property will comprise 62 suites and 37 villas, distributed across 400 meters of white sandy beach, two restaurants, a bar, a beach club and other wellness facilities.
