Holiday Inn Express jumps into Bali Return to Headlines
Holiday Inn Express Bali Kuta Square has begun operations. The 115-room Hotel is situated 20 minutes from Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport. The hotel features free Wi-Fi, its free Express Start Breakfast or a Grab & Go option and a rooftop pool and bar with views of the beach. This is the sixth Holiday Inn Express in the region.

Nikki Beach Phuket is now open Return to Headlines

Nikki Beach Worldwide announced the opening of Nikki Beach Phuket which is the brand’s 10th permanent location in the world and second in Thailand. The resort is a 15-20 minute drive from Phuket International Airport and 10 minutes from the nearest helicopter charter & helipad. The hotel features its iconic Nikki beach club which includes a pool, indoor & outdoor dining options, opium beds and 4 bars.

 
First Islamic resort to debut in Maldives Return to Headlines

The Maldives first resort designed and operated on Islamic principles will launch in October. The resort will be a five-star, 673-room resort located on the Shaviyani Atoll that is 50 minutes from the Ibrahim Nasir International Airport by seaplane. This development is a joint venture between Maldives’ ADK Group and Turkey’s Caprice Gold Group and aims to become a holiday destination for Muslims throughout the world.

 
Mandarin Oriental to open in Bali's Bukit Pandawa development Return to Headlines

Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has announced the launch of the luxury resort Mandarin Oriental, Bali on Bali’s southern Bukit peninsula as part of the upscale Bukit Pandawa development. Scheduled to open in 2016, the property will feature 97 villas, each with a private pool, as well as 24 guestrooms. Other amenities include a 1725m2 Spa with eight treatment rooms, heat and water therapies and a 100m outdoor swimming pool.

 
Passenger traffic at Changi Airport scales new heights Return to Headlines

Singapore Changi Airport reported record-breaking passenger traffic of 53.7 million in 2013 and 343,800 landings and take-offs, registering a growth of 5% and 5.9%, respectively. The airport also handled 5.1 million passengers in December which is the highest number it has ever handled in a month. In addition, Changi also added 10 new links to new destinations; Guilin, Jinan, Lijiang, Nanchang, Nanning, Ningbo and Wuxi which are in China and Mandalay (Myanmar), Kalibo (the Philippines) and Addis Ababa (Ethiopia).

 
Tigerair adds Maldives service Return to Headlines

Tigerair has launched a new four-times-weekly service from Singapore to Malé, the capital of Maldives. Flights are operated with an Airbus 320 and operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. This will be the only no-frills airline flying direct from Singapore to Maldives and will improve the accessibility of Maldives to everyone.
