Kathryn Gritt is a Senior Consultant with HVS Convention, Sports & Entertainment Facilities division (CSE) in Chicago. Kathryn previously worked with HVS CSE from 2001-2004, and with HVS San Francisco Valuation, Market, and Feasibility division from 2013-2015. Other prior work experience includes marketing manager at urban design and campus planning firm BMS Design Group (now Page), and coordinator at global adventure tour operator MT Sobek. .
Kathryn brings extensive experience in tourism and the travel industry to HVS. Her HVS projects include studying the development of a new visitor center in southern Indiana where she determined the impact the visitor center would have on tourism and assisted in identifying the most advantageous operations programming for facility. She studied the feasibility of a new events center in Greeley, Colorado and led the firm’s analysis of a meetings and events venue as part of a large integrated resort in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. She analyzed the feasibility of a proposed gondola attraction in British Columbia and served as the HVS team leader conducting a Destination Master Plan for Visit Pittsburgh. She is currently studying the development of a tourism attraction in Squamish Canyon, British Columbia and conducting a tourism assessment of Boardman, Oregon.
Kathryn holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in Photography from California College of the Arts (CCA) and a Bachelor of Arts degree (French and Anthropology) from the University of Wisconsin at Madison.
