Andrew Nesbitt, an associate with the HVS New York office, specializes in hospitality real estate finance, development, and investment banking, with a focus on lifestyle, non-commodity lodging. His passion for hospitality real estate development and investment was fostered by the year he spent traveling around the world, which included living and working in hospitality in New Zealand.
Prior to working in CRE finance, Andrew executed media buying and planning for national clients such as Principal Financial Group, Hilton, and New Line Cinema at renowned worldwide agencies including OMD/Chiat/Day. During his time in this field, he gained a deep expertise in market segmentation and multi-faceted strategy.
Andrew earned his MBA from Cornell University, where he focused on a customized immersion in investment banking and real estate. He was a grand finalist in the Kellogg MBA Real Estate Venture Competition, a semifinalist in the Harvard Real Estate Venture Competition, and a semifinalist in the Cornell PIHE Business Plan Competition for his open-house lodging concept The Union.
