HVS Announces Hotel and Casino Business Interruption Claims Calculation Service

HVS reminds owners and asset managers of hotels and casinos that have suffered losses of profits due to business interruption from the recent hurricanes that HVS has experience in calculating, and supporting claims for business income losses.

AYANA Launches Luxury Resort in Komodo, Indonesia 

Located in West Flores, an hour’s flight from Bali, is the town of Labuan Bajo. Contained in the untouched paradise of Labuan Bajo are various natural attractions such as mountains and waterfalls as well as the famous Komodo National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. AYANA will be launching the first and only five-star resort on the exquisite Labuan Bajo, Waecicu Beach. Slated to open in the summer of 2018, AYANA Komodo Resort, Waecicu Beach will feature 12 suites and 189 premium guest rooms, each offering ocean views. The resort will also feature a rooftop wedding and function suite accommodating around 200 guests, with an ocean view terrace. Other facilities will include an all-day dining outlet, three bars, two specialty restaurants, three swimming pools, a fitness center, a kid’s club and a spa with five treatment rooms. With the resort having its own private pier, guests will have the opportunity to either charter or book AYANA Lako’dia – the resort’s private luxurious ship for various types of outdoor functions, including weddings.

AccorHotels Hops Aboard the Orient Express  

AccorHotels has purchased a 50% stake in luxury train company Orient Express from French state-owned railway firm SNCF Group for an undisclosed sum. AccorHotels now plans to develop a chain of upmarket Orient Express branded hotel; the Orient Express name was drop from a collection of 45 luxury hotels and travel experiences three years ago, and this collection has since been reflagged as Belmond. Commenting on the acquisition, Sébastien Bazin, AccorHotels’ chairman and chief executive said that the partnership with SNCF Group “cements the alliance of two major French players in the world of travel for a shared purpose, that of giving fresh impetus and international standing to an historic and world-renowned brand."
