Mineola, NY: Over the course of more than three decades with the firm, Anne R. Lloyd-Jones, CRE has risen to the top of the consulting and valuation field and is one of the most highly respected individuals in the hospitality industry. Mentoring numerous HVS associates, she has been a sterling example, setting parameters of professionalism that have become a model of excellence, regularly meeting and exceeding client expectations. In her new position, Anne will play an important role in the stewardship of HVS’s valuation practice in the U.S., helping to set important policies and valuation standards, and steering the ongoing development of the firm’s industry-leading methods for analysis and report design. Her leadership will play a critical role in maintaining the firm’s excellence, including training and development, as well as supporting its strong network of professionals, now spanning 27 cities.
Since 1982, Anne has provided consulting and appraisal services on over 5,000 engagements. Responsible for the sale, supervision, and administration of over 200 appraisals and consulting assignments annually, Anne’s particular areas of expertise include market studies, feasibility analyses, and appraisals. She is also an expert in the field of the valuation of management companies, franchise companies, and brands; the negotiation and valuation of management contracts; spas; and conference centers. On numerous occasions, she has appeared as an expert witness, giving testimony and litigation support on matters involving bankruptcy proceedings, civil litigation, and arbitration.
Anne has served as a guest lecturer at New York University’s School of Professional Studies - Tisch Center for Hospitality and Tourism, Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration, and Columbia University’s Columbia Business School. Since 2001, she has moderated a finance panel at the prestigious New York University Hospitality Industry Investment Conference and also appeared as a guest speaker at the NYSPA Annual Symposium, as well as the Hotel Equity & Lender Perspectives (HELP) Conference.
Anne, who holds the CRE designation from the Counselors of Real Estate, received her bachelor’s degree from Swarthmore College and a Master of Professional Studies from the Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration. She previously served on the Board of Managers of Swarthmore College for five years, the Board of Trustees of the Pelham Public Library, and the Vestry at Christ Church in Pelham Manor, New York, where she currently serves as Treasurer.
