Consulting Experience

Kristina D’Amico is a Director in the HVS Miami office. Her expertise spans consulting and valuation for both existing and proposed hotels and resorts throughout Florida, the Caribbean, and Latin America. Kristina’s significant international consulting and appraising experience includes assets in the Caribbean Basin across 17 Caribbean islands, as well as the Riviera Maya region of Mexico and various countries in Latin America. In particular, due to her creative thinking abilities and her skill with complex projects, she has an extensive background in consulting and valuation of proposed and existing all-inclusive resorts, as well as mixed-use resorts with complementary real estate. Kristina has also used her expertise on Caribbean markets to author numerous articles about various topics in this region.

Kristina has valued over one billion dollars of hospitality-driven real estate in her career and specializes in luxury, complex, and mixed-use developments. Kristina played a significant role in the valuation of the first over-$1-million-per-room hotel sale in Miami Beach. Kristina was responsible for the initial feasibility study and subsequent appraisals for the first Hyatt hotel to be built in Uruguay, which opened in June 2016. Throughout her near decade of experience, Kristina has performed market feasibility studies for existing and proposed resorts exceeding 1,000 rooms, as well as resorts with ADR levels over $1,000.

Originally from New Jersey, Kristina earned her bachelor’s degree from Florida International University with a major in finance and a minor in hospitality studies. She is a state-certified general real estate appraiser (RZ 3822) and is working through the final requirements for her MAI designation.
