Fletcher Hotels acquires Eden Hotel’s interest in five Dutch hotels

The Dutch hotel owner and operator Fletcher Hotels has acquired a 334-room portfolio across the Netherlands from their peers, Eden Hotels. The acquisition comprises the operations and real estate of two hotels, and the operations only of three further hotels, comprising the 61-room Hotel de Broeierd, the 57-room Hotel Holthurnsche Hof, the 86-room Hotel Mooi Veluwe Putten, the 47-room Hampshire Hotel 108 Meerdervoort and the 83-room Hampshire Hotel Emmen. As of mid-April, all hotels will be operated under the Fletcher brand.

Roxburghe Hotel in Scotland sold to 12.18. Investment Management

The Roxburghe Hotel in Kelso, Scotland, was acquired by the German developer 12.18. Investment Management. Formerly owned by the Duke of Roxburghe, this 22-room country house dating from the 19th century will be rebranded as Schloss Roxburghe. The property will be extended to include 57 new rooms, a luxury spa and meeting space in a separate building. The hotel will be managed by 12.18.’s hotel management company.

Lionel Messi acquires the Hotel Es Vivé, Ibiza

Football super star Lionel Messi has acquired the former Hotel Es Vivé, Ibiza. The 52-room Art-Deco luxury property will be operated by the Spanish hotel operator Majestic Hotel Group under Messi’s brand, MiM. The hotel was completely redesigned four years ago by the award-winning interior designer Sean Cochrane.

Elaia Investment acquires the Sensimar Eden Binibeca for €17.5 million

The Spanish REIT, Elaia, has acquired the 150-apartment Sensimar Eden Binibeca complex in Menorca. The property, featuring a restaurant and three swimming pools, was acquired for €17.5 million. Currently operated by TUI under its adult-only brand Sensimar, the management will change hands to the French specialist in holiday villages, Pierre & Vacances, under a long-term lease agreement.
