HVS, a leading hospitality and hotel services firm, today announced the publication of the HVS 2007 Airport Passenger Traffic Trends Report. The report presents an overview of airport passenger statistics for 256 U.S. airports tracked and monitored by HVS from 1998 through 2007. A detailed analysis of upward and downward trends among the nation’s busiest airports is also provided.
Airport passenger counts are important indicators of hospitality demand, as a sizable number of passengers seek to dine, shop, and stay at area restaurants, stores, and hotels. Trends showing changes in passenger counts therefore reflect local business activity and the overall economic health of a market area. A chart and breakdown of airport data with respect to passenger activity levels is a crucial resource to investors in a particular market.
“The past ten years have seen both a slip and a resurgence of airport activity,” said Rod Clough, Managing Director of HVS Dallas and co-author of the report. “Activity at airports across the nation sunk in the midst of a waning economy and the aftermath of 9/11 earlier in the decade, but many of the busiest were achieving record passenger numbers by 2007. Still others have experienced a recent decline. We delve deeper into these statistics and the catalysts behind them in our report.”
The HVS 2007 Airport Passenger Traffic Trends Report is available at a price of $150USD.
