An Appraiser's Introduction & Overview of the U.S. Hotel Industry (AM), 3-Hours
With the upturn in the U.S. economy and the resulting increases in all types of travel, hotels are experiencing recovering occupancies, room rates and profits. Coupled with a growing availability of debt capital, hotel transactions are on the rise. These are challenging times for hotel appraisers and analysts who must thoroughly understand the current hotel economic environment and apply the correct valuation techniques to develop
realistic estimates of value. This seminar provides hotel appraisers, owners, and operators the tools and knowledge needed to evaluate the dynamically changing hotel supply and demand trends, occupancies, room rates and REVPAR so they will be able to utilize the appropriate
appraisal techniques to estimate market value.
Hotel Market Studies & Valuations-Using HVS Hotel Valuation Software (PM), 4-Hours
Performing hotel market studies and valuations require many complicated calculations to thoroughly analyze the supply and demand characteristics of the market, forecast revenues and expenses and estimate market value. This seminar demonstrates the use of HVS Hotel
Valuation Software, three state-of-the-art programs that forecast hotel occupancy, room rate, income and expense, and value. Seminar attendees will actually use the software to solve an informative case study.
The HVS software programs and user manual, along with a demonstration hotel market study and valuation, a handbook on hotel investments and numerous research studies and articles will be included in each participant's take-home package.
