HVS Sales & Marketing Services, working in conjunction with the Performance Management service of our Executive Search division, was asked by Orient Express Hotels to conduct “out of the box” sales training sessions for the New York –based sales team of the company’s La Samanna resort, in St. Martin, FWI. HVS conducted the two day sales training session at the property, allowing the sales team an opportunity to enjoy their own hotel while learning new ways of thinking to sell their hotel in a different and fresh manner.
The HVS Assignment
La Samanna, which at one time was heralded as the gem of the Caribbean is in the process of resurrecting its positioning in the region and hotel General Manager Pascal Deyrolle expressed a desire for the sales team to gather, set new goals for itself and a new mission statement – all in the effort to better reflect the Resort’s elevating stature.

HVS presented dynamic and fresh conversation and team building strategy exercises focusing on:
All these exercises and conversations concluded in an extremely productive session which involved documenting mission and vision statements, goals and tactical sales action steps for the team to execute immediately, all in the vein of thinking differently, “outside the box” and trying to reach out to new prospective customers to bring in new business.
