Situation
The La Posada Hotel had been experiencing tough times, particularly during 2003-2006 as newer, limited service, branded hotels were entering its market. As the only full-service, independent hotel in Laredo, La Posada also experienced difficulty with keeping a qualified Director of Sales & Marketing (DOS) on board.

How HVS Sales & Marketing Services Addressed the Situation
When the owners of the hotel hired its most recent director of sales, HVS was asked to visit the property, twice a month, a week at a time, to coach the DOS and train him for peak performance in the hospitality industry, guide the other sales managers, and simultaneously develop a new logo for the hotel, new collateral, manage sales calls, and oversee the hotel's revenue management processes.
