The HVS Assignment
The Homewood Suites Palm Beach Gardens is a development of Brock Development Corp. and operated by Brock Services Corporation, a Florida-based hotel/restaurant management company. The principals, Peter and Andrew Brock are real estate developers, owners and managers, who are responsible for premier commercial projects including hotels and resorts on the east coast. Having utilized HVS Sales & Marketing Services in the past as a sales and marketing consultant for its Radisson Hotel in New Rochelle, NY, Brock Services Corp reached out to HVS again to assemble an opening sales action plan for the Homewood Suites hotel it has developed in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

HVS Sales & Marketing Services visited the Palm Beach Gardens area to assess the competitive set and understand the seasonality, amenities, strengths and weaknesses for the brand new hotel - the first new hotel construction in that area in 7 years.

Results
HVS assembled a working document for hotel ownership and the future Director of Sales, detailing specific action steps the sales department should take to:

  • Introduce the hotel to the marketplace, by identifying key accounts and key prospects
  • Educate the area about Homewood
  • Utilize the marketing opportunities offered by the Hilton family of hotels and specifically the Homewood brand
  • Identified marketing opportunities for the hotel in its key feeder markets

HVS Sales & Marketing Services also assisted Brock Service Corp in identifying a sales director for the hotel, and will work with this new sales director to help her understand and modify the plan as necessary, and begin the implementation of the marketing activities.
