In these challenging times with changing markets and the need for more powerful and creative marketing communications strategies than ever before, Barbara Fischhof -- a 25-year veteran of the hospitality industry --understands cycles and how to strategize and plan for them with confidence. She has been with HVS since 2003 and has held senior level corporate and agency positions in Manhattan and Atlanta, focusing on public relations, marketing, and investor and franchisee relations.
In 1997, she was recruited by industry leader Mike Leven to serve as vice president of corporate communications for US Franchise Systems (USFS). She has also worked for public relations firms heading up airline, hotel and travel trade accounts, and was spokesperson for the North American cruise industry where she spearheaded broadcast media tours and programs resulting in 2 billion-plus impressions annually.
Barbara is a graduate of Tulane University and has a master’s degree in guidance and counseling from the University of Miami. Among her awards are Golden Bells from HSMAI, Clarion Award from Women in Communications, Atlas Award from Association of Travel Marketing Executives, and Mark of Innovation from Travel & Leisure.
