Amanda Repert is a Senior Vice President with HVS and a primary project and client manager for the HVS Dallas office.

Amanda focuses on hotel appraisals and market and feasibility studies, including proposed hotel and resort assets. Her various assignments include such prominent projects as the Sheraton Midtown Exchange Minneapolis, the Westin Edina, the Sheraton Duluth, the Sheraton Austin (Marriott at the Capitol conversion), the W Austin, and the W Minneapolis. Amanda gained considerable experience working with Starwood and private developers during the development of hotels under Starwood’s newest brands, aloft and element. She has also participated in large-scale proposed convention projects in Austin and San Antonio. She has extensive experience in hotel markets in Texas, Colorado, Arizona, Minnesota, and elsewhere throughout the West and Southwest.

Amanda is a graduate of the University of Denver, Daniels College of Business, School of Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Management. She blends her hotel management education and previous operations experience with Hyatt Hotels and Resorts to provide clients with valuable opinions. Her operations experience at the Hyatt Regency Denver Tech Center was joined with completion of Hyatt’s Management Training Program at the Hyatt Regency Chicago (HRC). Subsequently, Amanda focused on Sales & Marketing and Convention Sales at HRC. In addition, she has participated in the development and execution of an internal HVS training and certification program, and she has authored such articles as “Conversion Craze – Historic Restoration and Adaptive Reuse” and “Gone to the Dogs…Pet-friendly Accommodations: Revenue-Producer or Marketing Farce?”

When not enjoying a view of blue sky from her desk, Amanda stays active outdoors, especially in her native element of the Rocky Mountains. Past endeavors include the Colorado Outward Bound Relay (a 24-hour foot race covering over 170 miles and four mountain passes), the Horsetooth Half Marathon, a multi-day llama pack trip in the Rawah Wilderness Area, and a cycling event through France’s Dordogne region. As a third-generation volunteer for the local United Way, Amanda delivers weekly Meals on Wheels to needy residents of her community. In addition, she seasonally participates in a program called “Co-Pilots,” which pairs blind and low-vision outdoor enthusiasts with qualified “captains” on tandem bikes, thus allowing the visually impaired to experience cycling on local roads and trails. Outside of these activities, Amanda finds relaxation at home and in the garden with Guthrie, her seven-year-old golden retriever.
