Janet Snyder is a Project Manager with the HVS Atlanta and Washington, D.C. offices. Janet's varied hotel consulting and valuation assignments have included everything from feasibility studies for oceanfront properties, to market studies for a tourist attraction hotel and a Jamaican resort property, to appraisals of upscale boutique hotels. Janet works out of Asheville, North Carolina, conducting hotel valuation assignments in markets throughout the Carolinas and the South. In addition to fieldwork, Janet is the Regional Director of the Carolinas and oversees the project execution of individual associates, as well as portfolio projects.
Janet gained hospitality-related experience while working for two meeting and event planning firms located in Dallas, Texas. She worked in both planner and sales manager capacities during this time. Janet gained direct experience in the hospitality industry while employed at Hilton Direct and the Hilton Dallas Lincoln Center. She partnered with the Washington, D.C. national sales office during her tenure at Hilton Direct. While at the Hilton Dallas Lincoln Center, she was a sales manager, focusing primarily on Texas associations. Janet earned a bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, with a minor in Religion, from Baylor University.
When not working, Janet enjoys spending time with her husband, her dog (Coco), and her cats (Allie and Chandler). They enjoy watching movies, antiquing, and traveling, and are trying out bike riding as their latest activity. Janet is also proud to volunteer with the Asheville Humane Society.
