Bethany Cronk is a Senior Vice President with the HVS Denver Consulting and Valuation office. Since joining HVS in 1998, Bethany has performed hundreds of appraisal and consulting assignments in markets throughout North America. Bethany has extensive market and feasibility consulting experience with private and public hotel development projects, including lodging supply and demand analyses, facility recommendations, group demand projections, meeting space recommendations, pro forma development, property tax projections, return-on-investment analyses, management contract analysis, and brand assessments. Bethany has managed numerous market, feasibility, and appraisal assignments for group-oriented hotels, resorts, IACC conference center hotels, convention hotels, and hotel porfolios. Bethany is a Certified General Appraiser.
While consulting with HVS, Bethany served as an adjunct instructor for the Tourism Department at the University of Colorado at Boulder's Leeds School of Business, teaching a three-credit-hour Hotel Management course for four semesters as a community service. She also has taught numerous classes at the Center for Managerial Communication at the University of Denver - Daniels College of Business. Bethany has authored such articles as “Hotel Appraisals: Opportunities, Threats Exist Today”, published in the Colorado Real Estate Journal and “The Marketing Plan and Hotel Operations: New Allies” for the HVS Journal. She has also been quoted in publications such as the Denver Business Journal, the Bay City Times, and the Grand Rapids Business Journal.
Bethany gained nearly ten years of management experience in the hospitality industry at hotels such as the Hyatt Regency Maui, the Hyatt Regency Cambridge, the Austin Doubletree Guest Suites, the Austin Hilton, and the Sheraton Denver West. Her hotel management experience is concentrated in the Sales & Marketing, Convention Sales, Convention Services, and Catering Sales departments. Bethany earned an MBA in both Finance and Marketing from the University of Denver and an undergraduate degree from Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration. She also holds an advanced culinary diploma from L’Ecole de Cuisine La Varenne in Paris, France.
