Jim Whitteron is the Director of the Marketing/Sales Solutions for the HVS Shared Ownership Services Division.
Jim pioneered the private residence club industry in 1992 with the development of the Deer Valley Club after which the private residence club genre (luxury fractional ownership) became the fastest growing segment of the vacation home industry. The innovative and distinctive villa and common area design, the usage program, the reservation systems, the five-star service, the marketing/sales strategic planning and the project documentation at the Deer Valley Club serves as the foundation for the hundreds of private residence clubs worldwide. After the Deer Valley Club, Jim also pioneered sales and marketing at the first luxury fractional project in New York City and in Latin America. He was also the first to combine fractional residence ownership with fractional yacht club memberships and fractional club memberships.
Jim provided development and marketing/sales management services for 22 fractional ownership projects in the USA, Caribbean, Mexico, Latin American, South America and Europe at beach, golf, mountain and urban locations. These branded and non-branded projects collectively account for $1.25 billion of fractional ownership sales.
For existing hotel and shared ownership developers, Jim and his HVS team provide the strategic planning necessary to transition to a fractional ownership product with their extensive experience in product design, business planning and budgeting, usage programs, HOA services, strategic advice on regulatory and project documentation and a variety of marketing and sales services. Most importantly, Jim and his team thoroughly understanding of the needs of this “new’ fractional ownership purchaser.
