Vancouver - Overview
HVS Vancouver, established in 1993 by Betsy McDonald, serves clients from Newfoundland to British Columbia. With Member of the United States Appraisal Institute (MAI) and Accredited Appraiser Canadian Institute (AACI) designations, we understand the Uniform Standards of the U.S. and Canada and our appraisals are accepted on both sides of the border.

We also publish Canadian Lodging Outlook weekly and monthly with Smith Travel Research; these publications summarize hotel occupancies and average room rates for major cities and provinces in Canada.
HVS Canada wrote the hotel appraisal instruction courses for the Real Estate Division of the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia (UBC). UBC is the only provider of education required for professional designations with the Appraisal Institute of Canada. Our course material may be found in Case Studies in Appraisal II in the Business 452 workbook.
