New York - Overview
HVS International's office in New York (Mineola) is the first and largest office of our firm. The Long Island suburb we call home is approximately 20 miles east of New York City and midway between JFK and LaGuardia airports.
In New York, we specialize in handling package assignments consisting of many hotels. With a professional staff of more than 35 consulting and valuation associates, our office has appraised as many as 70 hotels in a single month.
Our services in New York, coupled with other HVS offices around the world, are staffed by people who fully understand the hospitality industry. Most have degrees in hotel management, and actual hotel operating experience as well as extensive training in real estate.
In addition to our standard hotel consulting and valuation services, the New York office offers a full array of market feasibility studies, development consulting, operator selection coupled with management contract analysis and negotiations, and strategic advice. We advise in the development of new hotels, working with developers, architects and other development team members to conceptualize the optimal lodging product for a particular site. Our staff has extensive experience in providing expert analysis and testimony on a wide variety of topics including damages, property tax values, management competency, contracts and agreements and hotel industry standards.

Our marketing communications services include sales & marketing audits of hotels, marketing plan development, sales training and public relations, publicity, media relations and marketing strategies to meet sales objectives and generate awareness.
The New York office is the home for a unique collection held by Steve Rushmore, the company's founder and president. Included in the hotel and road food memorabilia museum are 10,000 hotel keytags, hundreds of hotel and restaurant pictures and menus, original Frank Lloyd Wright china from the Hotel Imperial in Tokyo, and an authentic hotel serve-a-door.
