As part of its continuing growth throughout Spain, Portugal and other parts of the EMEA region, HVS is actively recruiting professional Analysts, Associates and Senior Associates to cover its hotel and mixed use resort consulting and valuation practices based in Madrid.
The Madrid office covers hotel consulting and valuation services as well as services focused on the shared ownership industry. HVS Shared Ownership Services embraces a number of different business models which are typically found in the development and operation of mixed-use resorts.
Often combined with a separate hotel operation and an anchor amenity such as golf or wellness, the most common shared ownership business models are:
- Vacation Ownership or Timeshare Clubs
- Lifestyle Membership Clubs
- Private Residence & Destination Clubs
- Fractional Interest Real Estate
- Branded Residences & Condo Hotels

Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelors degree with a major in hospitality, real estate or tourism
- Industry-related MBA or Professional qualification such as RICS or equivalent is desirable
- Proven competency with Microsoft Excel and Word
- Solid analytical and report-writing skills
- Strong English language skills, both written and verbal
- Fluency in Spanish and other European languages is desirable
- Self motivated/self-starter
- Strong presentation skills
- Sensitive to requirements of professional client servicing
- Happy to be in a high-energy, deadline-driven working environment
- Must be able to travel within Spain and to Portugal and other countries in EMEA on a regular basis
Responsibilities
This successful candidate will be trained and responsible for the preparation of feasibility studies, business plans and appraisal reports for hotel and mixed use resort properties. Associates and Senior Associates will be involved in the development of the business, in particular the generation of new opportunities and management of multiple assignments. The preparation of reports includes:
- Fieldwork
- Site visits
- Property inspections
- Area interviews
- Analysis
- Review of financial statements, projections, project plans and other relevant documents
- Interpretation of market intelligence data
- Use of HVS proprietary MS Excel models and in-house databases
- Report Writing
- Use of MS Word and HVS report templates
- Developing graphics/maps and report formatting
